Emptying (cleansing) the bile system is easily done periodically like emptying the bag of a vacuum cleaner. You can safely cleanse the bile system in in just one afternoon and night with a simple protocol. But don’t expect to go to work or go out of the house while following this plan.
This cleansing process is suitable for everyone, but schedule it for a day when you have nothing much to do the next day, and preferably even the day after. (Friday is best for most people who don’t have to work on the weekend.)
On your cleansing day, you can eat your normal breakfast. Then, the emptying process begins around lunch time — do not eat any solid food after noon on this day. However, during the afternoon you may drink water or fresh juices, as much as you like. But then, as you approach cleansing time, do not have any fluids after 6:30 p.m., which is 30 minutes before the start of your treatment. This gives your stomach time to evacuate all fluid. Otherwise, the olive oil you use to cleanse may float to the top of liquid in your stomach and make you nauseated.
The treatment protocol is as follows:
Noon: Stop eating all solid food.
6:30 p.m.: Stop drinking all fluids.
7:00 p.m.: Drink one-quarter cup of olive oil followed immediately with one or two tablespoonfuls of lemon juice. Lie down and relax for 15 minutes and get ready to repeat this again.
7:15p.m.: Repeat this exact dosage (one-quarter cup olive oil and one or two tablespoons of fresh lemon juice) and continue repeating every 15 minutes until you have swallowed the entire pint (two cups) of olive oil. If any lemon juice is left, drink it all.
Hours later: When you have finished the olive oil and lemon juice, lie on your right side and go to sleep for the night. You can expect to have an urge for a bowel movement at about 2 a.m. — or maybe not even until the morning comes.
Remember, if you have terrible nausea or vomiting sensations, use peppermint oil in the olive oil or chase the olive oil with a small amount of V8 or pineapple juice until you can resume taking the plain olive oil and lemon juice. Try stretching it to 30 minutes between doses if it gets hard to swallow the olive oil and lemon juice. All the green you see in your stool is bile that you have effectively evacuated, and some stones may or may not be there, too, depending on what was evacuated from your gall bladder.
This type of cleansing can be an important step in helping you embark on a more-focused approach to controlling your weight and health.

I am not a medical doctor, but have done a cleanse similar to this one and wanted to answer some of the questions here, as I saw no one was answering them. First of all, I did the same amount of lemon juice as olive oil. Also, I am not sure about doing this without a gallbladder. The day after the cleanse, it is important to eat ligther foods (mostly vegetables, no meats, no grains). You should not repeat this the next day, but it can be repeated about every 3 weeks. When you eliminate some stones, the ones from the back of the liver move forward, so it is good to keep doing cleanses every few weeks until all stones are eliminated. After that, a liver cleanse can be done once or twice a year as maintanence.
As far as stones getting stuck, I suppose it is possible, but if you eat a lot of apples the day before and the day of the cleanse, the malic acid from the apples can soften the stones. Also, taking a few doses of water with lemon juice and epsom salts (about 1 tbs epsom salts per 3/4 cup of water and a squeeze of lemon juice; two hours between doses) is helpful for keeping the bile ducts relaxed and open, so that the stones will not get stuck. Hope that is helpful! I’ve eliminated a few hundred stones so far and plan to keep on doing the cleanse!

Also, a tip on helping you sleep the night of the cleanse, try some valerian tea and ashwagandha extract. That really seemed to help me. Otherwise, you can feel a bit nauseous and it can be hard to sleep.
