NO Goals, Plans, Resolutions, Willpower or Positive Thinking!

To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did. Here’s what every successful person did.
We’ll take big steps closer to your dream this month. You’ll learn how to take physical actions that lead straight to your dream! You cannot think your way into right action, but you can act your way into right thinking.
Now that you’ve been consciously working on changing your perception and becoming more counterintuitive since last month, let me ask you what these letters spell:
Last month, you likely would have read them as most people do: “Opportunity is nowhere." But I trust that now you see "Opportunity is now here" instead.
Your perception and, therefore, your life is changing and making a turn toward your dream.
How much time do you invest in your dream, thinking about and doing whatever it is you love to do? Very little. So what do you give most of your time and attention to? Orange cones, that’s what.
I learned a profound, life-changing psychological lesson at, of all places, the Skip Barber Racing School at Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, Calif. This single experience was the missing link I needed to effectively teach The Ultimate Technique for Success: how to recover from and control your vehicle through a spin.
I was sitting at the edge of the skid pad — essentially a very large, wet, asphalt parking lot — in a big, bright-red, Dodge Ram pickup truck, with four bald tires. And way off in the distance sat one orange traffic cone.
My instructor said: “Now, I want you to accelerate to 40 miles per hour, aim for the orange cone, put the truck in a spin, recover from the spin, and don’t hit the orange cone.”
Well that sounds simple, doesn’t it? It’s not! Over and over, with all that vast space, I hit the orange cone every time. (The complete story takes longer to tell than the limited space I’m allotted here; you can see/hear it at: http://www.utsclub.com/utsclub.php?ref=personalliberty)
Summary: A vehicle (and your life) goes only where you look. But our brains are wired to focus upon where we don’t want to go; in this case, toward the orange cone. It’s physically difficult to not look at it. You must practice, practice, practice to learn how not to focus upon where you don’t want to go! It’s counterintuitive.
And this explains why your dreams haven’t come true: You spend most of your time obsessed with the orange cones in your life and not with your dream.
“That which I feared the most came to pass, and what I dread befalls me.” — Job.
“Resist not evil.” — The Bible
“What you resist persists.” — Carl Jung
Rewiring your brain requires action — physical action — combined with your intention focused upon your dream. So begin now to make what you love to do, rather than orange cones, a significant part of your life.
“If you dedicate yourself to learning about your subject [your Dream; what you love to do] for 15 minutes a day, in a year’s time you’ll be an expert. In five years, you’ll be a national expert. The only hard part is choosing your subject.” — Albert Einstein
Why would choosing your subject be the hard part? Because our brains are wired to focus upon Orange Cones.
Here’s how to imbue your dream with action and intention:
- Visit a toy store by yourself, walk every aisle and buy a toy just for you, one that inspires you and relates to your dream. Keep it out and available at your home or office and play with it often.
“That’s the real trouble with the world, too many people grow up. They forget. They don’t remember what it’s like to be twelve years old.” — Walt Disney
- Whenever possible, get in the longest line and think about your dream while you’re waiting. (This includes waiting at red lights and sitting in traffic too.)
“The best cure for a sluggish mind is to disturb its routine.” — William H. Danforth
Now you’re putting all-important action behind your dream. It’s esoteric, but this “primes the pump” whereupon the universe responds abundantly. Try it.
Onward & Upward!

About the Author: Ken Roberts finally learned how to live The American Dream. (As of 2011, he's paid over $55 million in personal income taxes alone.) A true rags-to-riches Horatio Alger story, he graduated high school with (barely) a C average, dropped out of four colleges, then set out to follow his Dream of writing and teaching. It took him 13 years to finally realize that goals, plans, will power, positive thinking, and mimicking the habits of highly successful people is NOT how to succeed (those REPEL our Dreams because they're based on resistance!). Then he was underway — building businesses that became among the largest of their kind in the world. With over 500 employees, he taught more than a million people in 89 countries how to understand and trade the commodity markets. In 1997, WORTH Magazine declared: ". . . Ken Roberts has introduced more people to [commodities] than anyone in the universe."
Roberts "retired," sold his companies in 2006, and immediately began creating what he had long dreamed of, what would help even more individuals realize their Dreams too: The first-ever "Ultimate Technique for Success" Club that teaches the REAL Secret to Success (and how to achieve it much faster than 13 years). His new Handbook guides anyone with a Dream how to turn that passion into a successful business, step by step. (Ken's wearing a new hat now too . . .)
